rant

I'm so pissy right now it isn't funny. I spent all that time monday and tuesday trying to get the apartment looking a little better and by 9pm last night, you wouldn't be able to tell that I had anything done.

I will admit, it wasn't 100% (more like 75%) I figured that it would take no more than 2-3 hours (not counting laundry and any dishes that I would dirty this weekend) to finish cleaning. Well, now it's going to be 5-6 (hopefully).

I am so pissed that it seems like I did all the work and Aaron had no respect for it. I understand that taking care of Kaleb while I am work isn't the easiest thing in the world, but both nights when I got home from work, he was on the computer playing poker. I can't complain about him being on the internet, but I try to limit my time on the net to when I have everything done (or at least what I would like to get done at the time) and when Kaleb is sleeping.

Yes, he did make dinner while I was at work, but he left dirty dishes all over the kitchen and the counters and stove top needs to be cleaned. I wouldn't have minded the dirty dishes that much if they would have been in neat piles and the counters clean.

Plus anything that he had out in the living room, was left where he had it (playstation, magazines and dvds). I keep trying to tell him that he needs to pick up after himself because sooner than later kaleb is going to be getting into everything and it will just be easier if he leaves the stuff out. I had the living room picked up (all I needed to do was vacuum). Now I have to pick up before I can even think about that.

And I'm fixing to start throwing his clothes away if I have to pick them up out of the floor anymore. I set the laundry sorter up in the hall after rearranging the bedroom and I keep a basket in the bedroom too, but yet his laundry can't find at least 1 of the 2 things.

Then, last weekend, he told me that he would help me work on the nursery. Well, that was like pulling teeth. I would tell him that I am going in there. I would start and wait to see if he would come and help (Kaleb was sleeping in our room so that wasn't a reason why he wasn't helping). I finally gave up on his help and just started working on it myself. I have made it pretty far. I have 2 boxes that need to go to other rooms (which I plan on taking care of this weekend). Then there are 3 more boxes that need to be gone through and there are 2 piles of things that need to go to storage (which Aaron said that he was going to take 1 of them Wednesday, but that never happened). Once I get the stuff down to storage, it should be a lot better.

We took the bassinet down Wednesday night and I got it ready to go to mini storage. It felt odd taking it down, but I knew that it was time to do that as we don't use it (Kaleb's too big for it) and it was just taking up space. Now if I can just get Aaron to take that stuff to mini storage, it will make the nursery that much closer to being done.

I'm just sick of feeling like I bust my ass to get things looking respectable and he doesn't lift a finger to help. I don't know what to do to get him to change either. I've tried asking, complaing, not saying anything, not doing anytying and it just doesn't do anything. I'm getting to the point where I can't take much more of it and I don't have the time to do it myself all the time. I feel like a fucking servant, not a loving wife anymore.

Well, I am done ranting for the time being. I'm sure that some of this is also due to the fact that I am PMSing (or at least I think I am- the shot has really messed up my cycle).

Trust me, things really haven't changed all that much since you've left. LMAO! They still have the samething on their minds. It's rather annoying really.

LOL! Isn't that true with men in general?? I heard that you now have to pay for yahoo, but don't quote me, I haven't even looked at their personals in almost 7 years now.

From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
You can still post a profile for nothing. But it's not like it was. Back then you could see the yahoo name of the person. And contact them a different way. Now you can't see the name, you have to pay in order to do just about anything with the site. It's rather annoying. And I hate that every once and awhile they are like look someone did this. Only that you can't see it without having to pay for it. It's stupid. A number of them do that. GRRRRRR!

I remember those days. It's like all you had to do was click on the name and it would take you to their yahoo profile (with all the info you could want). Now it sounds like classmates.com. I always get the stupid emails that someone visited my profile but to find out who, I would have to become a premium (paid) member.

I swear that I had a membership to one of them, and just as it expired it said someone had sent me a message. So I paid back up to rejoin, only to find out they really hadn't. It was just the site using a ploy to get me to rejoin and pay more money...grrrrr.

From: [identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com
That sucks. I would never pay to be part of one of them in the first place. I hate most of the people that I went to school with, why would I want to do something where I would be paying to be their friends.

My class from school created a myspace account just for our class. So this should be interesting. Our 10 year reunion is coming up next November. God help me.

Interesting. I'm sure that my class isn't organized enough to do that.

I don't know if I will go to my 10 year reunion, if my class even has one (and they invite me).

Date: 2007-08-09 07:22 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
Why wouldn't they invite you? That's rude if they don't. Just because you don't live in the same state anymore. Doesn't mean they shouldn't invite you. Heck one of the girls that I graduated with lives in California now. She moved just after we graduated. And she made an effort to come to our 5 year reunion. I live here and didn't even go. LMAO!

Probably because 90% of my class didn't really like me when I was in school (the school I went to was extremely superficial so I was contantly being made fun of for one reason or another). And the 3 people that were our class leadership my senior year were 3 of the worst tormentors. So, if I get invited, then I do, but I'm not going to hold my breath over it.

I was teased a lot during school as well, but it's amazing how much some ppl change after you leave high school. I've run into a lot of the ppl that tortured me during middle school and high school. And they have been rather friendly to me, some even adding me to their myspace and such. It's rather funny. I guess as ppl get older than like to grab onto things that make them feel younger like the ppl they went to high school with.

From: [identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com
I see. I haven't had that too much yet (but I don't live close to most of them either). Not many people in my class use myspace yet either.

From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
That's true. I dunno, I think my reunion is going to be interesting.

I wish I could say the same about mine, but most of the people in my class never really left home (or the area) so it's just hard to say what will even happen.

From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
We have a bunch of ppl that have left the area, and have done some interesting stuff. One of them is a news anchor down south somewhere. That should be interesting to hear about. LOL!

From: [identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com
That sounds like it would be interesting. I don't really know what people in my class have been up to. I know like 3-4 of them are now teaching at our school. But most of them I have just lost track of.

From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
We've got a bunch of them that are teachers in the district that we went to. Which is kinda scary because I wouldn't trust some of them with any kids of mine. LOL!

I hear you there. A couple of them from my class I wouldn't have a problem with but one of them was like the biggest airhead in the high school. I don't know how she managed to even get though college sometimes.

From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
We've got one of them. During high school we referred to her as the blonde bimbo bitch. Or just Miss Piggy. Because her nose was smashed up like a pigs. She was my best friend at one point but she's just a bitch that uses ppl for her own personal gain. But someone how they allowed her to teach 7th grade science at our middle school. I don't know how THAT happened.

From: [identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com
She must have known the right people. I know our "class hoochie"- I'm being nice is teaching 6th grade reading and english. I know when we were in school, she wasn't the brightest light bulb, she would rather party and play sports.

Date: 2007-08-25 01:53 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janke.livejournal.com
That's these ppl that are now teaching, the only thing I hope is that when they went to college they got their heads on straight and realized that partying and not doing school work wasn't going to work for the rest of their lives. I hope. LMAO!

From: [identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com
I know. The girl I was talking about ended up having a baby in college, so that might have helped her set her priorities straight (at least we can hope it did).

It's amazing how something so simple as having a child changes everything.

I know. If I didn't have Kaleb, I would be done with my associates already and I wouldn't be having problems with wal-mart because I wouldn't have as many constraints on my schedule. But I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Some ppl think of kids as the biggest burden. But they are the greatest joy in your life. And until you have one, some ppl just don't realize this. I may not have kids but I've been lucky enough to experience the whole thing through my friend Bonnie and her kids.
