Matty won!!

jeslowe115Right now I am in a really good mood. My boy just won the NASCAR race today. I didn't get to see it though. I managed to catch about 15 minutes of the race when I was on lunch, which was when Smoke was switching out of the car with Ricky Rudd. Aaron called me as I was walking out the door from work to tell me that Matty had won. At first I didn't believe him, but then I was like super happy driving home from work. Now I am just waiting for Victory Lane to come on Speed so that I can watch it. I guess that I need to wear my Matty shirt to work every race day.
Other than that, my day was ok. I forgot my cell phone at home when I went to work this morning. I got it when I came home for lunch. Other than that, work was ok. I had to work with F all day, who normally is a pain to work with, but today she was in a real good mood and we managed to get everything done without having to run around like headless chickens. I even managed to clock out like 12 minutes early (to make up for the 23 minutes I stayed last night).
I remembered to pick up light bulbs on my way home. I also picked up some breakfast taquito things that they sell in the deli. They were only $1 each, so I figured that would be faster and easier than trying to make my own breakfast burritos. I can say that they were pretty decent.
Hopefully tomorrow morning, I will be able to get into to the vision center at work. It opens at 9 and I have to be at work at 10, so Aaron and I are going to try and get up there right around 9. Aaron said it took him less than an hour to get his vision test done and glass picked out. It took them like an hour and a half to get the glasses made, but as long as can get them to that point before I go to work, I can go up there during break or lunch to pick my glasses up. I just hope that a new pair of glasses isn't going to cost me a small fortune.
Well, I am going to go take a shower before VL comes on. I should be online later tonight.

Date: 2006-06-05 12:20 am (UTC)Man, it was a sucky race for most of it. I mean Junior didn't like how his car was handling all that well but at least he stayed on the lead lap the whole day. Matty did awesome for all of it and got the lead back when it counted. =)

Date: 2006-06-05 12:33 am (UTC)But yeah, he didn't like it at all today and they worked on it but they never got it where he would say it was better all around. They would fix one thing and something else would start to happen. They would fix that and then the other issue was back a little. It got better but never anything he could take to a top 5.
At least he's consistent and moved up a spot in the standings. Now JJ needs to have at least one bad race for Matty to take the lead over again.
