Kaleb: 8 months old

Well, Kaleb is 8 months old today. Where has the time gone? He should not be this old already. He has been something else tonight. It seems like everything that is on the floor has come into his possession, even if he shouldn't have it. Talk about keeping me on my feet all afternoon.

Here are 2 pics from tonight. I will try to get better ones, but it's still hard as I stay super close to him while he is sitting.

I will catch up on the rest of kalebaday later. I just don't feel like messing with it tonight.

I'm feeling ok from my IUD insertion yesterday. I am still afraid that it's going to expel on me, but I think that is just because I always seem to be negative on things like that and that would be my luck. I don't know what we will do for BC if that were to happen. I will know more for sure when I go back to the health department in 2 weeks.

Well, I am tired so I am going to bed.

I know. Part of me is ready for him to start, where part of me wants to wait a little bit longer.

That sounds like something Kaleb would do. We had to take the batteries out of a remote that we don't use, just so he can play with it and not have to worry about anything happening.

Thank you.

Is that supposed to happen? The expelling part? That's just odd.

[identity profile] jwood614.livejournal.com 2007-08-21 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's not supposed to happen, but it does. It's just a complication of having one.

Does it happen to a lot of women?

around 1 out of every 100 that get them (according to the manufacturer) but I have read that it's actually around 10 out of every 100. I don't really know which one is more correct.

It's probably the one with 10/100, unfortunately. :(

I know. From what I have been reading, a lot of it seems to depend on a lot of different factors (like how long it's been since you had a baby, etc). It's so hard to find out which one it is for sure.

Oh he is just so gorgeous:) Really adorable! Eight months.. it hardly seems any time at all does it? You will find yourself making observations like that a LOT from here on in!

Hope you get on OK with the IUD. It's a bit odd at first, and can be uncomfortable, but usually it settles down pretty quickly, and most people don't know they've got one. (after that!) Good luck:)

Thank you. I know. It just doesn't seem right.

I really hope so too. At times it feels really odd (almost like an out of place tampon) but at times I don't even notice it. I really hope that it will and won't be any problems.
